PPS -- My Pets

My pets are a part of the family. Those I have and those that are gone. They deserve a tiny spotlight too.

Taz

I have only one living cat remaining in the household. This is a lovely Calico beauty named Taz. She is, I believe, something like 16 years-old at this point. So, she's getting old. Still, this cat is a sweet heart, very attentive and very friendly. She also shed like mad and isn't very bright. The cat has this strange obsession with laptops as well, though I don't know if its becasue they're warm, or becasue things move on the screen. Who can say?

Fred

This little Shih-tzu dog is opposite in many ways of our cat. Fred (Shart for Freddy Da Freeloader) is a pure bred shih-tzu, but in alot of ways its easy to see he was raised around cats. While Taz is forever needy/friendly/loveable, Fred does his best to be aloof and independent. Not to say he can't be friendly, becasue he certianly can and does, but he tends not to sit on people in the house. The exception to this rule is during thunderstorms. Thunder seems to frighten the poor little dog right out of his wits! His favorite location in the house? Sitting on the back of the coouch staring out the living room windows.

Pets Past (RIP)

We have had many cats in the past. However in recent memory there have been four. Of course, as you read that I'm down to one. We have lost three cats to old age in the last five years. I certianly miss them, but I'm glad they are in peace now. Among these three cats were my baby, Mittens. I had this cat since I was two or Three. She lived to a ripe old age, I can't complain there. This cat was my buddy, and she took care of me as though I were her kitten. She even slept with me at night. For these reasons, I miss this plain ole' black and white kitty the most. The second among them was Little Bear. She was a loving little fur ball with bright golden eyes. She always looked like a kitten in appearnece, it was very enduring. Finally our beloved Blue cat. She was a siamese (no papers or anything, but there was no confusion on her breed.) She was named for her bright blue eyes. This cat was also a lover, and VERY talkative.

I miss them all.
